DESCRIPTION:I am planning a car camping trip. The campsite has been reserved. This is months away\, but I know how the summer calendar can fill up fast\, so save the dates! \n\n\nThe campsite is in the Emigrant Group Campground at Stampede Reservoir near Truckee. Boating\, water skiing\, swimming and fishing are popular activities on the reservoir. Many miles of hiking/biking and off-road vehicle trails crisscross the surrounding area. \n\n\nSpending time with friends in the outdoors–it’s the best!!

DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join us for outdoor meditation\, followed by snacks and conversation. \nThe gathering will take place on Friday\, May 15 from 5:30pm-7pm at Carson River Park at Lloyd’s Bridge. (Anyone know who Lloyd is??) \nWe will explore a couple of practices from Mark Coleman’s A Field Guide to Nature Meditation. I anticipate a mix of seated and movement practices. This is great for beginners and can freshen practice for more experienced folks. \nThere are numerous benches in the area\, and you’re welcome to bring a camp chair or whatever you need to sit comfortably. The movement will be meandering; this is not a fitness event. \nPlease bring the usual outdoor essentials\, something to sit on (if you’d like)\, and a snack to share. \nRSVP is appreciated\, but not required. If you think you’ll join us\, please reply to hello@highdesertgatherings.org—it helps me get a rough headcount. Last-minute attendees are always welcome.
